Busy Busy Busy!

Hi All. Things have been really hectic here since Flat Pat decided to take up residence at the Village Shoppes! First, Pat decided to stow away in Miss Pat's bag (our pal from One Little Spark), and ride to airport to pick up her daughter Heather. You see, Pat got wind that Heather works for Amuse stamp company and was hoping to get to know her and hopefully learn some new techniques and get the downlow on the new products coming out! He is always looking for the inside scoop into the craft world. Anyway, so here is Pat, sneaking around in the car when Miss Pat discovers him. After a brief explaination, she agrees to let him tag along. While they were together, Pat got her to give him all the information about the Stamp and Scrap Spooktacular that we are hosting on October 30th 2009.

It's a good thing we are having 2 sessions that day because Pat got on the phone and invited all his friends. So now space is filling up fast. Two great projects, a meal, dessert, raffles, and many other things all for only $30!! Pat could not imagine another way of spending 5 hours on a Friday night. Along with all the craft talk, Miss Pat let him tag along to Wal-Mart, Wawa, and a few other interesting places. Be sure to check back for exciting photos of Flat Pat at all these destinations. He sure is a busy little guy!! Tune in next time for another update on where he pops up next and call us to register for the 30th of October before Flat Pat and his friends take all our spots. Happy Sunday. The Scrapbook Cafe Girls!

The Adventure Begins!

Hi all! Let me first start by introducing myself. I am the uncrafty yet dedicated partner (and sister) to Nora Anne. Sorry it's taken so long to introduce myself but until this point, I haven't had anything to add. So where should I begin. I suppose most of you here in web land have heard of Flat Stanley. For those of you who have not, please visit flatstanleyproject.com. Anyway, Nora Anne and I were having a somewhat productive day here at the Cafe. She was feeling blocked on a layout project and I was, well, no help at all. Just then, Pat, from One Little Spark came by to drop money off for her lunch and gave me too much. She refused to take it back and so an idea that would become legend was created. Through the help of the world wide web, imagination, and good old crafting, Flat Pat was born. Pat is a fun loving person with a yen for crafting and a love of sparkly bow ties. The mission- to be a muse to crafters and spread the love of stamping/scrapping etc. throughout the land! So bloggers, start your engines and get ready to follow the ink fueled, stickle covered adventures of Flat Pat!!

Layout of the Month & Some Blog Updates

Tomorrow is another Layout of the Month, this time using chipboard elements on your page. The naked chipboard by Fancy Pants can be altered any way you choose, whether it be Glimmer Mist, Distress Paint, Ink or Markers. So break out all of those distressing and altering paints and inks you've bought in the past and dress up that chipboard!!!!! The paper we are using this month is none other than the Breaking Free collection from My Mind's Eye, a new favorite among our customers!!!!!
Hope to see you all here tomorrow!

We are slowly making some changes around the shop and in the "online world"! One of those changes includes adding our DT members to the sidebar of our blog. We currently have two members up and will be adding the rest in the near future.

We will also be offering classes taught by our DT members later this fall and winter, so be sure to watch for those on our calendar!

Have a safe and Happy Labor Day weekend!
