We will be closing at 3:00 on Wednesday to prepare for our big meal and of course, closed on Thanksgiving! We will resume normal business hours on Friday and will be offering 50% off on all Disney embellishments and papers and 35% off on other select items.

Rainy Day and Some Out of Town Guests

I woke up this morning to a RAINY day and I am not upset about it in the least. Colleen is running the shop today, Luke is at daycare until noon which leaves me with a precious little thing called "free time"....AAAAaaaahhhhhhhhhh!!!! Free time to put a dent in my to do list :) So, what are you doing on this rainy day?!

Yesterday we had some customers that came in speaking another language. I didn't recognize it and when I asked them they said they were from Switzerland. It turns out they are here vacationing in the U.S. for three weeks, staying in Atlantic City. I asked them how they wound up in Tuckerton and they said they found us on the internet! WOW! I was pretty surprised to have out of town guests that found us online all the way from SWITZERLAND! Pretty cool :) After visiting with us, they headed next door to One Little Spark to check out the Copics! Those markers are addictive to me :) and if you've never been in there, it's a stamper's dream!!!!

I'll leave you with a photo of the new print we will be hanging in the shop soon! I am a huge fan of Elsie Flanagan's and when I saw this in the Red Velvet Art Shop, I just had to have it!!!! Going from a career in the health insurance industry, to being partners with my sister in our own scrapbooking store is definitely a NEW START! An awesome new beginning for which I am so grateful!

A Day At the "Beach".....

Well not exactly, let me explain in further detail. Colleen and I are here at the shop today painting. Well, she is painting and I am doing other things, such as updating our blog and website, moving things around and placing orders.
So, I got off track for a minute, let me get back to the title "A Day at the Beach". When we took over the Scrapbook Cafe, we decided one of the first things we wanted to do was paint just to give the walls a fresh new look. The colors we decided on were "Sand Dune" for the walls and "Swimming Pool" for the accents. The look we are going for is tranquil, peaceful and beachy. From the looks of it so far, I think we are achieving that, but it's hard to envision with paper racks, ladders, tables, chairs and all kinds of other stuff in the way! I have a feeling it is going to be a long night here since we need to finish painting and then get everything back in place to re-open tomorrow morning.
Speaking of which, when we open tomorrow morning, (Wednesday August 5th) we are having an inventory reduction sale to make room for some great new products we have coming in! Some of which include: Pink Paislee Amber Road and Twilight lines! Brand new CHA Summer releases are currently on order and we are (im)patiently waiting for them.
